I've worked at GDATA CyberDefense AG, a German antivirus and MXDR vendor since 2015, starting as Malware Analyst and now as Principle Malware Researcher. I hold a master's degree in computer science and have a passion for malware analysis.
My interest began as a teenager when my computer was infected, and I received help online to remove it. This experience sparked my fascination with malware. I completed a one-year training in malware removal and volunteered for system disinfection.
I noticed an increasing number of people seeking help for malware infections, especially with irreversible damage from ransomware. This motivated me to shift my focus to prevention, aiming to equip people with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves and others from infections.
